Annie Fu
Research Manager
Proficient in Mandarin and English, Annie’s extensive knowledge of the Asian HR and recruiting areas is of great benefit to the Australian agrifood sectors.
Annie was born and raised in Beijing, never envisioning a career in recruitment during her childhood. She faced a pivotal decision between following her parents’ path and working as an Engineer in a state-owned company or pursuing her passion for music and becoming an orchestra musician. Annie chose to heed her parents’ advice and enrolled in computer science at the university. However, after completing her studies in computer science, Annie realised that an IT engineering career was not what she truly desired. Without hesitation, she swiftly shifted her focus and delved into human resources studies. Throughout her journey from a musician to a computer science student and ultimately a HR professional, Annie showcased her remarkable adaptability and ability to seamlessly fit in with any crowd. After spending several years recruiting for a multinational agricultural firm in China, Annie decided to embark on a new adventure in Australia. Collaborating closely with the consultants at Agricultural Appointments, Annie’s role centred on matching the best candidates with the most suitable opportunities. Furthermore, she played a pivotal part in expanding and strengthening Agricultural Appointments’ presence in the Asian market.
