We had the opportunity to exhibit at the 48th Annual AIFST Convention and 15th Australian Food Microbiology Conference, held at Luna Park Sydney last week. The three day event was an eye opener: exciting and intriguing. There was a good selection of industry experts who spoke about how the Australian food and allied industries deal with the world’s growing population and rising demand on food. Topics discussed ranged from using genomics to identify food pathogens, emerging food safety risks due to changing consumer habits to innovation in dairy. Young food technologists and microbiologists were also given the chance to showcase their project work and discuss findings with convention delegates. An event definately worth attending…
