Annie born and grew up in Beijing. As a child, Annie never thought she would have a career in recruitment. She had two choices: to follow in the footsteps of her parents and work in a state-owned company as an Engineer, or follow her passion for music and pursue a career playing in an orchestra. Like a good dependable daughter, Annie listened to her parents and studied computer science at University. However, after the final year of studying computer sciences, she decided she didn’t want to become an IT engineer. Annie shifted focus very quickly and further her studies in human resources. From musician, to computer science student, to a hr professional, Annie’s strength was always in her ability to adapt to many different situations and to fit in with any crowd.
After several years of recruiting for a multi national agricultural firm in China, Annie moved to Australia. She joined Agricultural Appointments in 2015 and takes an active role in searching and selecting all kinds of candidates. Working closely with the consultants, Annie’s role is to enhance our internal database to effectively and efficiently match the best candidates to the best opportunities. Annie also plays a critical role in the expansion and development of Agricultural Appointments strong presence in the Asian market.
Married with two beautiful daughters, Annie enjoys listening to music, swimming, travelling, fine dining, theatre, and spending time with her family and friends in her spare time. Her family also has a strong association with Australian agriculture. Her husband works part-time for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Queensland as a FIFO Aeromedical Retrieval Medical Officer and travels to remote and regional parts of Queensland. He grew up in the regional area of northern China where he developed a deep passion for rural critical care. A remarkable husband and wife team of Chinese migrants making a difference to the lives of people in Australia.
